Commissioning a Painting
It’s very easy to commission a painting:
Stage 1 - photos
Post or email me your photo/s of the property or garden view, or pet or horse you would like painted.
It would be helpful if you indicate your preferred view, and also any details you would like to have included. A selection of photos is very helpful where possible.
I can also create ‘artist’s impressions’ of proposed buildings, often to support a planning application – see the ‘New Build’ example in the Gallery.
Stage 2 - deposit
After assessing the photos I will contact you to discuss the size and shape of the proposed painting. When we have agreed this I can confirm a price, and will ask you for a deposit of 25% of the price.
Stage 3 approval of sketch
I will create a pencil sketch of the portrait which I will post or email to you for your approval.
Stage 4 - finished portrait
Following approval of the sketch I will create a finished portrait in watercolour. I will photograph this and email or post a print for your approval.
If you are happy I will ask for final payment by BACS bank transfer
The portrait will then be securely packaged and posted within the UK by Royal Mail ‘Signed for’ delivery. Overseas rates on request.
The cost of this is included in the prices below.
