The magic & mystery of painting in watercolour is a lifelong fascination and a constant learning process. My aim is to find the balance between control and letting the paint flow.
I graduated in graphic design & illustration from UCE in 1989, and have worked in the design world ever since, first freelancing as an illustrator but am now a partner in a Midlands design agency. In 2011 I was elected to the Birmingham Watercolour Society and exhibit with the Society regularly.
My home is in rural Warwickshire where I live with my husband, and Monty the labrador. It also contains my studio from where I paint my watercolour house and pet portraits. All kinds of creative work make me happy, from cooking for friends to making the garden bloom. Apart from during Wimbledon fortnight, I would rather chill out with a book than watch TV, but I do leave my sofa to swim and play tennis.
